At the start of the month, the creative team at Spyglass (NW Group) had the pleasure of working with The University of Auckland once again, to produce the technical aspects of their TAUMATA 2023 event at the ASB Waterfront Theatre.
“We kept the stage set consistent this year, featuring three largescale VuePix Infiled LED screens used as main visual platforms on the stage, delivering super sharp visuals for various speeches, panel discussions & live streaming”, comments Andy Crump, National Sales & Marketing Manager at Spyglass. “We reworked the content to focus on The University’s iconic clock tower for 2023, specifically the beautiful floor mosaic as a content centrepiece. And VuePix Infiled digital displays provided a perfect platform to display that throughout the event.”

The VuePix Infiled displays consisted of 3 separate screens, configured on an angle to create an immersive environment for all the performers, speakers and guests. Resulting in a 15 meter long and 4 meter high display, of a 3.9mm pixel pitch.
For the final musical piece, the Spyglass team used big bold TAUMATA text as their canvas for graphics and ran live camera feeds within this mask for a pretty unique and understated look.
Well done to the Spyglass team and the team at The University of Auckland for deploying another superb production and event!
